Who are we?

St. Mary’s congregation is a community of rich diversity of peoples of all ages from most of the English-speaking world. A sizeable percentage are native Dutch nationality. Whatever the background, whichever the mother tongue, all feel bound together by the Anglican expression of the Christian faith in the English language.

Who are Anglicans?

The Anglican-Episcopal community is a worldwide network of Christians which has grown from the Church of England. This community sees her history go back right through the centuries to the early years of Christendom. We believe the traditional Christian Creeds. The reformation in England in the 16th century took a different route to that on mainland Europe. Anglicans therefore enjoy a reformed biblical theology coupled with episcopal structure and an emphasis on sacramental worship, usually in liturgical form. In short, Anglicanism is an inclusive worldwide faith with a deep sense of pastoral care for everyone. In fact, it means there is something for people from many backgrounds.
